[Okay so I'm struggling with titles for friday posts. Enjoy watching me struggle be creative and hilarious every week.]
Music
This week, I found my favourite song on the Spotify 'Discover Weekly' playlist (link here). I love this playlist because, not only do you get to listen to great music, the playlist changes every week on a Monday. It fills up with tonnes of different music from rap to throwback to covers and alternative. The best part about it is the fact that you get to see new, up ad coming artists being featured on a widely accessed platform. Spotify isn't just giving the publicity to well now artists. My favourite song his week is 'So Good to Me' by Chris Malinchek. I don't know about you, but I had never heard of this guy before until this song and I love it. It's not a new song, the original came out 2 years ago but it's something that just slipped under my radar. The song is nice and upbeat but not super dancy. As with last week's song, it's not really mainstream but I'm writing a blog right now. I'm not very mainstream.
Food
Apples. Yes, this sounds crazy weird and come on, what's so great about an apple Carrie? I've found a new appreciation for them. I used to find them tedious and meh but I've found that of you peel and cut them up instead of just biting away at them, they're much nicer. Especially the dark red juicy ones. I find myself eating 3 or 4 apples a night if I'm watching TV or whatever. I think you actually have less waste as well because, if you're cutting them up, you're not throwing so much away. I realise I'm talking about apples like they're made of gold and I probably sound like a demented, middle aged woman but seriously, try it!

Gaming
Okay so I really wasn't sure about this one because I've only really played it once about 30 minutes ago with my sister and her boyfriend. It's a card game called Munchkin. I watched Will Wheaton play it on his web series 'Tabletop' (another thing I would recommend if you've got the odd hour to spare). I watched almost 100 hours of this show in about 3 weeks and thought it was great. I'm a big fan of board games, even though I've not really had any experience with anything past Monopoly and the rare game of Catan. Munchkin is cute, funny and light heated fun. The rules are relatively simple and very easy to pick up and a single game normally lasts less than 30 minutes so it doesn't turn into a tedious challenge to try and finish. It does involve a lot of reading and planning and stuff but, I'm guessing, the more you play it, the more familiar you become with the deck and the more fun you will have. My sister has the expansion packs which add more craziness to the game and just makes the experience even better.

Thing to Watch
Grimm. It's another show on Netflix. Yes, I know, get a life. I've watched a whole season this week and I seriously love it. It's based on the original Brothers Grimm fairytales but with a great twist. I love fantasy but, what I love end more is when real world is mixed together with fantasy. The protagonist, Nick Burkhart is gorgeous and is a detective/monster hunter who breaks the traditional expectations of his ancestors to bring a more modern take on the good guys vs. bad guys mentality. Tenouttaten.
Person
Last summer, a group of my friends and I decided we wanted to create a YouTube channel and start uploading content. Long story short, the plan fell through (unfortunately) and we all just kind of forgot about it. Then, Michael told us he was uploading the first video on his own, personal channel. We were all so proud of him for sticking to something that the rest of us had failed and we've all supported him as he's continued uploading content to the channel. Now, as it's coming up on a year since he created his first video, he's still gradually bringing out new content and taking all the support we give him to make his videos the best they can be. Well done, Michael.
[Sidenote: yes, he is wearing makeup. He's super great and he let us put makeup on him one day. What a babe! Sorry mate.]
[Other Sidenote: I forgot to link to his YouTune channel because I'm a bad friend. Find it here. He's really great, I promise. GO watch if you have the chance.]
